Hyderabad serves as a massive transit hub connecting South India to the central and western states. Understanding the bus timings and terminal layouts can significantly smooth out your travel plans.

Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS)

MGBS is one of the largest bus stations in Asia. It operates 24/7, with peak departure timings between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM for long-distance routes to Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai. TSRTC buses for district routes depart every 15-30 minutes during the day.

Jubilee Bus Station (JBS)

Located in Secunderabad, JBS primarily handles traffic heading towards North Telangana, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. The first buses usually leave around 5:00 AM, with frequent services to Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Adilabad.

Private Operator Hubs

Unlike state buses, private luxury coaches rarely depart from MGBS. Their main boarding points are clustered around Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Lakdikapul, and Kukatpally. Most private overnight sleepers to Bangalore, Pune, and Mumbai are scheduled between 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM.
